All prices are in Japanese yen and include 10% consumption tax.

About Self-Pay Treatment: Possible Risks and Side Effects

  • Tooth extraction — pain, swelling, bleeding or temporary numbness may occur after treatment.
  • Root canal treatment — mild discomfort may last a few days. If infection remains, retreatment or extraction may be needed.
  • Local anesthesia — numbness lasts a few hours; allergic reactions are rare.
  • Nitrous oxide / IV sedation — you may feel drowsy afterwards. Please do not drive on the day of IV sedation.
  • Composite fillings and bonding — may chip or discolor over time.
  • Dental implants — pain, swelling or bruising may occur after surgery. In rare cases, an implant may not bond with the bone. Treatment can take several months, and regular check-ups are needed to keep implants healthy.
  • Gum (periodontal) treatment — gums may recede and teeth may feel sensitive after treatment. Results depend on daily care and regular maintenance.
